Guide to Privacy Protection
At LayRoots, we help many of our clients increase their personal and business privacy. We believe privacy protection is an important part of estate planning, asset protection and business planning. We live in a time where an ever-increasing amount of data is collected and published onto public forums. There are, however, people who don’t want is personal and private information posted on the internet for the world to find. Nor do they want this information sold to other companies and organizations to use as they see fit.
There are many reasons people choose to guard their privacy (and no, it’s not because they “have something to hide”). Some common reasons we hear from clients: avoid harassment, discourage frivolous lawsuits, increase family safety, avoid scam artists, and keeping a side-business off the radar from a primary employer.
